1. As the Build ID feature in Swim Team Manager 8.0 is no longer applied for the new USA Swimming swimmer ID format, how do we use this function?
The Build ID feature in Swim Team Manager generates a 14-digit ID for swimmers based on the DOB and names they entered. Starting Sept 1st, 2022, USA Swimming will generate a 14-digit random ID that does not contain any personal information of the swimmer. With that being said, coaches can ignore the build ID feature and still enter swimmer IDs generated by USA Swimming in Team Manager, or upload athlete rosters using a CSV file (See Importing Rosters on CSV File Format) after collecting IDs from swimmers or USA Swimming. The ID# field in Team Manager also recognizes the randomly generated ID from USA Swimming.
2. Will Team Manager users still be able to download from the new USA Swimming Swims registration program directly into Team Manager?
Swim Team Manager users could not download from the new USA Swimming registration program directly into Team Manager starting Step 1st, 2022. We will update this article as soon as the download is ready.
